Import an irregular plot from a site-plan PDF
टेढ़े भूखंड का PDF अपलोड करें और सही सीमा चुनें
Upload a PDF, select the outside plot outline, set scale from one known side or a confirmed area, then choose the road-facing boundary and road width. The app uses the confirmed polygon in the live study. It does not infer survey accuracy from the drawing.
1. Choose the plot line, not the building line
A CAD-exported PDF may contain several closed outlines: the site boundary, a setback line, a building footprint and the sheet border. The app highlights possible outlines. Check the line against the drawing before selecting it; a large highlighted polygon is not automatically the legal plot.
2. Confirm a real-world scale
Enter a known side in metres, decimal feet or feet and inches. Alternatively, use a confirmed plot area to proportionally scale the outline. Area calibration preserves the drawing’s proportions but leaves side lengths provisional. Scans can be distorted, so verify other dimensions too.
3. Select the road-facing side
Tap the side beside the road and enter the full road width used by the applicable rules. Confirm the building category separately. Plot shape or area does not determine whether a proposal is a single house, plotted multi-unit or group housing. Additional-road facts need explicit review.
If the PDF is a scan
Use “Outline not found? Tap corners”, click the corners in order, then finish and calibrate. The app labels this approximate geometry. Current input supports straight, strictly convex boundaries with 3–16 corners. Curves and inward corners are not silently flattened into a different plot.
What is saved and what stays local
The PDF is processed in the browser. The study retains confirmed polygon coordinates, calibration details, page number and review flags; the original PDF bytes are not embedded in the exported study. Reconcile those coordinates with a measured survey before relying on the feasibility result.
Common questions
Can I upload DWG, DXF or a phone photo?
Not in the current version. Upload PDF only, up to 10 MB. A CAD-exported PDF is preferable when it contains real boundary lines.
Can the app measure every crooked plot automatically?
No. Closed vector lines can be selected; scans need approximate corner taps. Concave, curved, ambiguous and overly complex boundaries may be unsupported.
